Mountain is the element of Colombian riders. That’s why Colombia Coldeportes guys couldn’t wait for the 2nd stage of the Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria, with the traditional Sant’Elia climb, peaking at around 45 km to go, to interrupt a pretty straightforward race plot. A very different temperature from Donoratico welcomed Colombia Coldeportes in Southern Italy for the first of two days of racing at the Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria. A cloudy sky covered the sun at the start of the 170 km 1st stage from Melito Porto Salvo to Chiaravalle Centale, but 14° made it easier for the riders to warm up their muscles and bring to life a quite entertaining race. From Wednesday, we could start working on our training programs, and will keep doing that up till the Tirreno-Adriatico.” On…

After weeks of training and big expectations, GP Costa degli Etruschi in Donoratico, Italy, welcomed Colombia Coldeportes into pro cycling peloton. The ten riders of Claudio Corti’s line-up could finally taste the race atmosphere in Italy, after starting to get used to the lifestyle in their first 15 days spent in the Country where they will live throughout the whole season. Donoratico’s race definitely wasn’t a great fit for the characteristics of the Escarabajos, particularly after cold and snow in the last few days forced the organizers to cut out the few difficulties from the original route, reduced to a…
